According to "Veto" website, the event will be organized on October 31 with the participation of scholars and intellectuals from different parts of the world.
Abbas Shuman, the sheikh of Al-Azhar’s deputy said that the two-day forum will investigate four main themes.
“Correction of concepts”, “citizenship and minorities”, “terrorism and extremism and its danger for the Ummah” and “turning away from religion and its danger for global peace” are the themes to be discussed at the event.
Chaired by the deputy, the scientific committee of the forum has organized a series of intensive meetings in the holy city of Mecca to identify the figures to be invited to the forum.
Muhyeddin ‘Afifi, Secretary General of Al-Azhar’s Council of Islamic Studies, Abdul Fattah Abdul Ghani, Dean of Cairo’s Faculty of The Principles of Religion, ‘Abdul Mun’im Fuad, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences for Non-Egyptian Students and Muhammad ‘Abdul Salam, Legal and Constitutional Advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar are members of the committee.
