A prominent Quran memorizer and Qari from Turkey described the International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students as a valuable move which encourages the youth to memorize and recite the Holy Book.

Speaking to IQNA, Is’haq Danesh said when the young Quran activists listen to the beautiful recitations at the competition, they are encouraged to try and elevate their own level of recitation.
He added that the competition helps to spread acquaintance with the Book of God among young Muslims.
The International Holy Quran Competition for Muslims Students is held every two years by the Iranian Academics' Quranic Activities Organization.
The Iranian cities of Isfahan, Tehran, Mashhad and Tabriz hosted the previous four editions of the international competition, which is aimed at enhancing Islamic unity, paving the way for promotion of Quranic teachings and culture and providing a venue for interactions among Muslim world students.
Danesh hoped that the next edition of the Quranic event will work as a venue to introduce great Qaris of the Quran to the Muslim world.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Turkish Qari referred to the current challenges facing the Muslim world, including the spread of Takfiri and terrorist groups and suggested that competition is a good opportunity to inform young Muslims about the threat of extremism through holding seminars and forums on the sidelines of the main event.
The fifth edition of the International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students will be held in Tehran in January 2015.
