Quran Teacher Training Course Begins in Iraq

The first edition of an educational course to train 100 Quran teachers began in the holy city of Najaf and other cities of Iraq.


According to the information website of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine, the Quran Teaching Section affiliated to the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the holy shrine has organized the Quranic course in cooperation with Quran Dissemination Section of the holy shrine.

Seyyed Basim Al-Hulw, director of the Quran Teaching Section said that the course aims to develop the culture of teaching the Holy Quran and establish bases to serve the Divine Word in the holy city and other parts of Iraq.

The course is held for students who have passed Tajweed principles courses, he added.

Half of the participants at the course are the students of Dar-ol-Quran centers, Quranic institutes and Quranic associations of the country and the rest are the former students of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Alawi holy shrine.

Speeches on Tajweed principles, reading of the Holy Quran’s verses, Quran calligraphy, teaching Quranic sciences and jurisprudential issues are among the themes of the course.
