Armed Forces’ Quran Contest Concludes in Qatar

The 18th edition of the Quran competition for the armed forces in Qatar came to an end in a ceremony held in the capital of Doha.

Winners of different categories were awarded at the closing ceremony, which was attended by the Qatari chief of general staff of the armed forces, al-Arab daily reported.
97 army officers took part in the competition held in memorization of the Holy Quran at 7 levels, Ali Ahemd al-Bareq, head of the organizing committee said.
He noted that on the sidelines of the competition, seminars had been held for different army units to inform them of the procedures of the contest.
