Grand Ayatollah Mar’ashi Congress to be Held in Qom

-- An international congress to commemorate Grand Ayatollah Mar’ashi Najafi will be held on March 10 in the holy city of Qom.
Hojat-ol-Islam Reza Ezzat Zamani, managing director of Wela’ Montazar Institute and the official in charge of the organizing committee of the congress told IQNA that the international program has been planned by the governorate of Qom province, the General Office of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the province and the institute.
He said the congress will be attended by Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, Mahmoud Ahmadi Nezhad, the president, Seyyed Mohammad Husseini, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Hojat-ol-Islam Musapur, governor of Qom and a number of non-Iranian intellectuals who will present speeches at the event.
“Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mahmoud Mar’ashi Najafi in charge of the Library of Grand Ayatollah Mar’ashi and Ayatollah Reza Ostadi, member of the Society of Hoze Lecturers and the Friday prayer leader of the city will also address the program.
Noting that the “Encyclopedia of Allameh Mar’ashi” will be published on the occasion of the congress, he said, “The collection includes 15 volumes, three of which will be published concurrent with the international congress. These volumes cover the works written by the grand scholar and letters written to him by figures of the Islamic world in a section titled “Namehaye Namvaran” (letters of the famous) as well as “Mosu’ah Al-Imamah fi Nosus Ahl Al-Sunnah”.”
Noting that the scholar had relation with a large number of Muslim scholars from various schools of thought, he said that there are more than one thousand letters to be published.
The international congress will be held at the World Center of Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) Sciences in Qom.
