Islam Elevated Status of Women

Women achieved all their rights at the time of the Holy prophet (PBUH) an Egyptian Quran researcher said.

Presenting a paper at the 9th International Congress of Women Quran Researchers, Ameneh Nassir added that women have different roles in society including that of a mother, wife, and one who raises the next generation.
She said Islam gave women their rights in all their roles.
“Islam elevated the status of women and gave them their right. It removed all the contemptuous ideas about women.”
She regretted that in some parts of the world women are still facing injustice.
Ms Nassir also praised the Iranian Muslim women for their achievements.
The 9th International Congress of Women Quran Researchers was held in Tehran on Thursday, November 17.
