2000 billion Iranian rials of last year’s Quranic budget has been deposited in the account of Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and the corresponding organizations will receive their share upon signing the accord.
Talking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi, deputy minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Quranic affairs, said that the amount is 90% of the total budget allocated for Quranic activities in the previous year.
“The budget will be offered to qualified centers and organizations in 4 stages as follows: first 25% as prepayment; second 25% upon submitting their Quranic plans; third 25% following the implementation of 50% of the projects; and the last quarter after reporting the full administration of the programs.”
“The process of paying the budget was also approved by the MPs during a meeting on April 3,” he added.
Referring to the budget allocated for Quranic activities in the current Iranian year, he noted: “It will probably be the same half percent of the total budget devoted to administrative organizations but we have suggested that it be paid in 4 stages, i.e. every three months this year.”
“The centers which have already submitted their Quranic plans to the Council for the Promotion of Quranic Culture can easily receive last year’s budget after signing the agreement,” he further asserted.
