Russia's Muslim Women Nat'l Congress to Be Held

The first national congress of Russia Federation’s Muslim women is planned to be held on April 26 in Moscow.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the program titled “Muslim Woman in the 21st Century and Her Role in Society” is organized by the Central Office of Muslims Religious Affairs in Russia.
The office has announced that the congress will be attended by Muslim female citizens, religious scholars and intellectuals, government officials and heads of the country’s state-run social institutes as well as the representatives from Women’s Organizations in Iran, Kuwait, Germany, Turkey and Austria.
Nailya Ziganshina, head of Tatarstan Muslim Women Union said that about 60 regions of the federation have announced their readiness to attend the event.
Setting up an international committee for Muslim women will be one of the main themes to be discussed at the program, she added.
