Talking to IQNA, Mahdi Gharasheikhlu said that “as a public Quranic center, Dar-ol-Quran is determined to promote Quranic education through organizing general and specialized educational courses.”
“Some Quranic experts have suggested that Dar-ol-Quran follow a comprehensive national plan to further propagate its Quranic mission,” he went on to say, adding that “while the idea can be effective in certain ways, the center is mainly responsible for developing educational plans and organizing training courses.”
Referring to the Association of Quranic Charity-makers which was inaugurated in January, he stressed: “the administrative procedures have been underway since the beginning of the current Iranian year. The regulations have been set and a special website has been launched to introduce the activities of the association.”
“Dar-ol-Quran has already received 50% of last year’s Quranic budget and will devote it to public-Quranic institutes to organize corresponding plans and programs,” he noted.
Gharasheikhlu further said that a set of agreements have been signed between the center and managing directors of Islamic Development Office in provinces to administer the plans in cooperation with Quranic unions and institutes.
“The activities of the Council for Development of Quranic Culture have been satisfactory so far,” he added, expressing hopes that it would also remedy the existing deficiencies and improve its operation more than before.
