Neda Sadat Tahami, an official with the culture and Islamic guidance department of Qom province told IQNA that the festival will be held in three sections, namely media software, mobile phone software and computer games.
She said introducing digital products with the theme of the Holy Quran will be the main approach of the event.
Ms Tahami added that the festival is to be held in 10 languages including Persian, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Urdu, German, and Malay.
It is part of the Manzumeh Ayat national Quranic festivals series, she noted, adding that the festival, among other things, aims to introduce Quranic digital products and promote production of top Quranic works in the field of digital media.
Tahami went on to say that the second International Festival of Quranic Digital Media will be organized in Qom in May, 2013.
