Imam Khamenei Offers Condolences over Death of Former VP
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei issued a message of condolence on the death of former vice-president Hassan Habibi.
“With deep sorrow and grief, I have been informed of the death of the old friend of the Revolution and the devoted scholar Dr. Hassan Habibi (may God bless his soul),” Imam Khamenei’s message read.
“He was a sincere, devout and Khadum (helpful) man of faith. The history of his service to the Islamic Republic of Iran began before the victory of the Islamic Revolution when he helped in drafting the constitution and continued for years through membership in the Revolution Council and serving in different great positions,” the Supreme Leader said.
His Eminence offered his condolences to the bereaved family, especially Dr. Habibi’s wife, as well as his colleagues and friends.
