Yemen to Launch University of Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences

Yemeni government plans to launch a Quranic-Islamic university in the near future, islametinfo website reported.
Mohammed Salim Basindawa, Yemen’s Prime Minister, announced yesterday that the government has allocated a sum of $500000 for establishing the University of Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences.
Underlining the need for setting up such universities, he added that, “The government will create the necessary conditions to facilitate the process of construction”.
He went on to say that Islam is growing all across Yemen calling on the younger generation to follow moderate Islam as it will bring about prosperity and accomplishment for the country.
