Realization of Diplomacy of Unity, Perfection of Islamic Awakening
When the diplomacy of unity is realized, it is the stage of Islamic Awakening’s perfection.
Lebanese Islamic sciences scholar Sheikh Jafar Al-Muhajer made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that Islamic unity is a Quranic principle that should be the ultimate goal of all Islamic Awakening movements.
Al-Muhajer regretted that recent uprisings in the Muslim world lack clear Islamic stances, noting that only what happened in Iran had a clear stance with regard to Islamic issues
He said Muslims’ activities should be aimed at materializing Islamic unity and it can then be regarded as real Islamic Awakening.
He noted that Muslims have been trying to find their real status in the contemporary world and uphold justice, efforts that originate from the conscience and intellect of followers of Islam.
The Lebanese historian and researcher regarded the Islamic Republic of Iran as the true symbol of Islamic Awakening in the contemporary era.
He said Islamic Awakening is a variable with a broad range and comes to its highest status when it brings about unity f the Muslim Ummah all over the world.
Al-Muhajer referred to the issue of Palestine as the most important issue for Muslims.
“Although all Muslims are aware of this, the political stances of (Muslim) governments are diverse and there is no unity about this issue,” he said, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a clear and stable stance towards Palestine, which is support for the cause of the Palestinian people.
Asked how Islamic Awakening can help to sideline Takfiri (those regarding fellow Muslims as infidels) groups, Al-Muhajer said Muslims should exercise fortitude in order to remain immune from the evils of the Takfiris.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he underlined the role of seminaries, universities and research centers in promoting unity in the Muslim world.
The Lebanese scholar went on to say that the diplomacy of unity is the only way for Muslims to get out of the crises they are facing.
