Mashhad to Host Imam Khamenei's Annual New Year Speech on Thursday
Like previous years, the holy city of Mashhad will play host to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s annual new year speech.
People from different parts of the country will meet Imam Khamenei at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and listen to His Eminence’s speech on the first day of the new Iranian calendar year (March 21).
The program which is followed by the speech will begin at 3:30 P.M. at the Imam Khomeini Hall of the holy shrine.
Custodian of the holy shrine Ayatollah Abbas Vaez-Tabasi has issued a statement inviting the Iranian people to take part in the program and renew allegiance with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
In his statement, Ayatollah Vaez-Tabasi also underlined that the Iranian nation’s presence in the scene, which has been manifested in major events such as the rallies marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, elections, and the support for the Velayat-e Faqih, is becoming more and more evident.
He urged people from all walks of life, especially scholars, the clergy, families of martyrs, and academics to attend the program at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine on Thursday, March 21, to dishearten the enemies of Islam and the Holy Quran.
