Contestants to Be Excluded from Dubai Int'l Holy Quran Award

Contestants from countries who failed to pass in previous editions of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award will be excluded from this year’s competition.
The organising committee said it will pick competitors from countries who have excellent qualifications for taking part in the international prestigious award.
The organising committee said that the decision was made to exclude some countries from the competition because they continue to nominate candidates with poor qualifications.
The decision was announced at a meeting held yesterday by the award’s organising committee in its preparation for the 17th chapter of the award to be held in Ramadan, The meeting was chaired by Ebrahim Mohammad Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai in Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs and Chairman of the committee.
