“Text of Quran, Reason of Revelation, and Tafsir” Course in the UAE
A specialized Quranic course titled “Text of Quran, Reason of Revelation, and Tafsir (interpretation)” began on April 27 at Sharjah Islamic Association in the UAE.
According to Dar Al-Khaleej newspaper, the Quranic course has been organized to stress that contemplating the Holy Quran and its exegesis and translation of the Divine Word are not limited to the works of past interpreters of the Quran.
The three-day course will include two seminars on each day held after the Asr (afternoon) and Maghrib (sunset) prayers.
Majid Bu Shalibi, secretary general of the association, says that all of the association’s activities have been focused on serving the Holy Quran and that it has organized the course mainly to familiarize the activists in Quranic fields with reliable Islamic sources.
He added that the themes of the course have been selected based on suggested Quranic books aiming to provide a research model on Quranic sciences at the end of the course.
