Nasrallah in Tehran to Attend Islamic Awakening Conference

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is in Tehran to attend the World Conference on Muslim Ummah’s Ulama (scholars) and Islamic Awakening.
He is a special guest of the international conference and during his stay in Iran will hold talks with a number of the country’s high-ranking officials.
Nasrallah plans to give a speech on May 9 after returning to Lebanon about the developments in the region, especially in Lebanon and Syria.
The two-day World Conference on Muslim Ummah’s Ulama and Islamic Awakening has been planned by the standing secretariat of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening.
It opened with a speech by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei.
Muslim scholars, thinkers, researchers and scientific figures from all over the world are in Tehran to take part at the international conference.
The organizers say 500 foreign guests as well as 200 Iranian thinkers are attending the event. More than 350 papers have been submitted to the secretariat of the conference, they say.
The 6 main themes that will be discussed in the two-day event are “theoretical foundations of Islamic Awakening”, “role of scholars in Islamic Awakening”, “scholars, opportunities and threats in the Muslim world”, “favorable government system in Islam”, “future world and status of the Islamic Ummah”, and “Holy Prophet (PBUH), pivot of Muslim Ummah”.
It is aimed at reviving Islamic values based on the tenets of Islam and the Quran, reviving Islamic dignity of Muslim countries, developing the new Islamic civilization based on religion, intellectuality, science and ethics, offering a model of Islamic democracy as an alternative to western democracy, opposing the oppression and unilateralism of the world hegemony, and confronting the interference of the hegemonic system in creation of the new political system.
