Renowned Religious Scholor Moulana Hussain Masudi, the Senior Vice President of Jafaria Alliance Pakistan, condemned the desecration of the ancient grave of a Shia Muslim figure near the Syrian capital by foreign-sponsored militants, and the barbaric act of terrorism in which Takfiri extremists South Jordan burnt the shrine of Jaafar Bin Abi Taleb, Imam Ali’s (AS) brother.
According to reports by online media, anti-Syria militants have attacked the mausoleum and grave of Hujr Ibn Uday in the Damascus suburb of Adra, and taken his remains to an unknown location.
Hujr – a close companion of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and a staunch supporter of the first Shia Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) – led the army of Muslims to victory in several crucial battles.
This comes only two days after al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front desecrated Hujr Bin Uday’s shrine. The shrine is considered a sanctity for all Muslims.
He said that the so-called Free Syrian Army had exhumed al-Kindi’s tomb and removed the corpse, burying him in an anonymous place.
Hussain Masudi had censured such a profane act, mentioning in a statement, “Hizbullah expresses its great pain for the news that talked about the attack by terrorist armed groups against the holy Hujr Ibn Uday’s shrine.”
“The desecration and the violation of the shrine’s sanctity in such a manner reflects the criminal terrorist mentality that does not take into regard the sacredness of Muslim and Christian holy sites.”
