Helping to Prevent Fall of Syria Is Helping Al-Aqsa Mosque
Secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement said any effort to prevent the defeat of Syria is one that helps to salvage the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine.
Delivering a speech on Thursday, May 9, on the occasion of the anniversary of Al-Nour Radio’s 25th anniversary, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah added those who want the Al-Aqsa Mosque to remain for its people, and the Palestinian, Islamic and Christian sanctities to remain and return to Palestinians must turn to the option of resistance.
He criticized the regional country’s silence over the Zionist regime’s crimes and said what is going on in the region helps the Zionist enemy to make use of the opportunity (to advance its goals).
He also regretted that that Arab League has been more willing to relinquish Palestinian rights since the Arab revolutions in the region.
Nasrallah said that following the Arab Spring, Arab countries were expected to better defend the rights of Palestinians but instead they gave Israeli some very dangerous concessions.
The recent Arab concession to Israel was a historical disgrace, he underlined.
Nasrallah also referred to the recent Zionist attack against Syria saying that the Zionist regime is aware that Syria and Iran are the main sources of the resistance movement’s strength.
“Unlike other countries, Syria has so far refused to sign a peace deal with Israel and everyone knows what Syria has done (against Israel). There will be a day when our brothers in the Palestinian resistance will say that no government helped the Palestinian resistance like Bashar Al-Assad’s government”.
He said the Zionist regime’s strikes against Syria were aimed at taking Syria away from the equation of fighting with the Israeli enemy.
“There are some who are happy to see Syria attacked by Israel. But Syria’s response to the attack was to say that Damascus will provide weapons to the resistance movement and this is a great strategic decision.”
He said this is a greater reaction than bombing the occupied Palestine. “Syria’s second reaction will be to create a popular resistance front in the Golan area (now occupied by Israel.”
Secretary General of Hezbollah underlined that the Lebanese resistance movement stands beside popular resistance in Syria and would help it to liberate Golan.
Elsewhere in his speech, Nasrallah praised the efforts of the Al-Nour Radio, describing it as a media outlet of the resistance movement, and a committed, truthful and sincere media outlet.
He said the world media are founded upon lies and distortion but the resistance movement’s media have managed to reveal the truth and defend the resistance movement against unfounded allegations.
