Zionist Attack Aimed at Removing Syria from Axis of Resistance
Removing Syria from the axis of resistance and raising the morale of Takfiri terrorists were the purposes behind the recent Zionist strikes against Syria.
Salah Al-Fahs, deputy head of Amal Movement’s office in Tehran, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the Zionists’ vicious attack was a move to undermine Syria’s government inside and outside the country.
He underlined that Syria is at the forefront of resistance against the Zionist regime and that is why the occupying regime of Israel uses every opportunity to harm Syria.
He said what is happening in Syria is a plot targeting the resistance movement, a movement that is backed by the Syrian government.
Asked why the US and other Western countries try to justify the Israeli attack as an act of self-defense, the Amal Movement official said the Western countries are under the influence of the Zionists.
“The Zionist lobby’s sway in the West makes Western countries make decisions as the Zionist regime sees fit. That is why these countries or international bodies like the UN and the Security Council have failed to decisively condemn Israel’s attacks on other countries like Sudan, Lebanon and Syria.”
He said since the Zionist entity came into being it has always been backed by the West and international organizations.
Al-Fahs stressed that Syria’s response to the Zionist aggression will be crushing, reminding that Israel faced a humiliating defeat when it attacked southern Lebanon.
He also said that if something like the attack against Syria happens again, it could have very negative consequences in the region.
Asked whether one can expect the United Nations and the Security Council to intervene and effectively condemn the Zionist actions, he said international organizations have never been able to prevent the Zionist regime’s barbarities in the past 70 years.
