Stockholm to Host 1st Quran Competition in Northern Europe
The Swedish capital of Stockholm will host the first Quran competition in northern Europe.
The city’s Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center will organize the program starting from Friday, June 21, on the occasion of birth anniversary of imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), IQNA’s Europe branch reported.
The three-day contest will be held in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization, Adhan (call to prayer) and Tawasheeh (religious songs).
Quran activists from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany can take part in the Quranic event.
The Imam Ali (AS) Center has invited those interested in the Quranic program to contact the center to sign up for attending the competition.
The event is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture, setting the ground for Quran talents to blossom, and encouraging acquaintance with the word of God.
