Religious Scholars, Guardians of Islamic Beliefs

Religious scholars are the guardians of beliefs and values, head of the Islamic Seminaries said.
Addressing a congress in the city of Kuhdasht, Lorestan province, Ayatollah Hosseini-Bushehri added that if beliefs and values are taken away from a country, it would no longer have an identity.
Titled “Adib Azam” (great literary figure), the congress was held on Thursday to commemorate Ayatollah Adinevand.
Ayatollah Hosseini-Bushehri said Muslim scholars of the country have made endeavors in different fields and entered political Jihad, propagational Jihad as well as scientific Jihad.
“It has been the Seerah of our religious leaders that they held scholars in high respect because scholars are the guardians of beliefs and values.”
He said honoring religious scholars will help to introduce them to younger generation and promote their endeavors.
Head of the country’s Islamic Seminaries further pointed to great character and services of late Ayatollah Adinevand, saying that he made great cultural contributions to the country and made significant endeavors in the fields of Quran translation and interpretation.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Lorestan Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Miremadi, Friday prayer leader of Khorramabad Ayatollah Sadeqi and a number of provincial officials and clerics were also present t the congress.
