Riyadh to Host Regional Forum of Islamic Universities

The Union of Islamic Universities will organize a regional forum of the universities of the Muslim world on May 28-30 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to Al-Yawm Al-Sabe’ newspaper, “cooperation and interaction among universities of the Islamic world with the aim of implementing criteria of performance and improved quality” will be the title of the program.
It will be held in cooperation with Muhammad bin Saud University in Saudi Arabia and the International Islamic University of Malaysia.
Representatives of Islamic universities and experts and directors of quality improvement organizations in Islamic countries will participate at the forum and Al-Gharib Zaher Ismail, director of the secretariat of the union will represent the union at the program.
The participants will discuss the charter of implementing criteria of performance to improve quality, successful experiences in promoting quality and authority in member universities as well as the experiences of the Associations for Qualification of Scientific Activities in Islamic countries.
A perspective approach to various methods of cooperation among the universities of the Muslim world will also be among the themes to be investigated at the forum.
