National Congress of Islamic Educational Institutes in Russia
A national congress of directors of Islamic educational institutes in Russia will be held on May 28 in Moscow, the capital.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, Russia’s Muftiat Council announced that the program will be organized on the sidelines of the 2nd Conference on “Muslims of Russia and Civil Society”.
Investigation of problems in the local system of Islamic education and training and planning new programs and projects in this field will be the themes of the congress.
The participants at the second edition of the conference are going to discuss pressing questions like the recent hijab affair, organization of family and crisis centers and women shelters and building of positive image of Muslim women in Russia.
Russian Muslimas Union is a non-governmental organization with more than 50 regional offices that was created in April 2012 with the assistance of Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. The Union is headed by Nailya hanum Ziganshina.
