“Islam against Terror and Illiteracy” Forum in Azerbaijan

A forum titled “Islam against Terror and Illiteracy” was held by the Center of Religion and Democracy in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the program was sponsored by the presidential Office and attended by religious and political figures.
Wasif Sadeqli, head of the center addressed the program and stressed that education is of great importance in Islam, while some groups try to separate religion from education.
Also speaking at the program was Piri Ghasemzadeh, senior expert of the center, who talked about the importance of clarifying the objectives and activities of religious extremist groups and preventing their thoughts from developing among Muslims.
