Contestants from 20 countries recite verses from the Book of God on TV through telephone.
Every night, the best Qari makes it to the semi-final stage and the top five reciters compete in the final stage of the event.
Winners will be announced and awarded on the last day of Ramadan, the night before Eid-al-Fitr.
