Iranian Qari Wins 2nd Rank in Al-Kawthar Int’l Quran Contest

A Quran reciter and teacher at Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani’s (AS) holy shrine in Rey city won the second rank at the international Quran recitation contest held by Al-Kawthar International TV Channel.
Ali Shirzadeh Sharabiyani, Iranian Muazzin, Qari and Quran teacher came second at the preliminary stage of the contest held in the holy month of Ramadan.
100 Quran reciters from 20 countries including Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, an Tanzania participated in this stage of the phone-in contest.
Shirzadeh is one of the servants of the holy shrine who has managed to win various national and international Quran recitation contests.
The competition was held with the aim of disseminating Quranic culture in the holy month of Ramadan and strengthening unity among Islamic countries and between Shia and Sunni Muslims.
