The meeting of Muslim school and university students in Ivory Coast will come to a conclusion on Sunday, September 1.
The meeting began last week in the city of Grand Lahu, west of the country, with the aim of discussing the role of Islamic grassroots organizations in employment of the youth.
The role of education, including religious education that guarantees ethics and civil rights, in helping the society to develop was among the topics stressed during discussions in the meeting.
More than 350 school and university students from all over Ivory Coast, as well as a number of other countries, are taking part in the weeklong program, organized by the Association of Ivory Coast Muslim Students (AEEMCI).
The association was established in 1975 with the purpose of upholding and promoting religious beliefs and values among Muslim university and school students in Ivory Coast.
Muslims make up about 35-45 percent of the population of Ivory Coast, a country in western part of Africa.
