US Pretext for Striking Syria Fallacious
Najaf Friday prayers leader described the United States’ justifications for threatening to attack Syria as fallacious.
Addressing worshippers at Al-Fatimiya religious center in Najaf, Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Sadreddin Ghabanchi underlined that the region is in very sensitive situation and that the crisis only ends through peaceful solution that includes an end in sending weapons to the rebels and a start of dialogue.
He added that no one among the Syrian people want to see the overthrow of the basher Al-Assad government.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ghabanchi stressed that threat about attacking Syria are made despite the fact that there has been no evidence proving that the Al-Assad government has used chemical weapons.
“This is while Saddam Hussein did use chemical weapons in Halbacha (during the 8-year Iran-Iraq war).”
