General Behrouz Esbati mde the remark in a press conference on Sunday, September 15, adding that 671 poems in Persian, 37 in Arabic, 2 in English and 6 in Turkish have been submitted to the secretariat of the congress.
He said the secretariat has also received 33 articles in Persian and Arabic about the theme of the congress.
General Esbati said a jury panel made up of experts in Arabic from Egypt, Lebanon and Yemen as well as Iran has been set up to evaluate the poems sent in Arabic.
He said some 40 Iranian and foreign poets will read their poems about resistance during the three-day congress.
The official went on to say that the 4th edition of Poetry of Resistance Congress will be held in Tehran on November 2-4.
