Hajj Congress in Ghana

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Cultural Center in Ghana organized a congress on Hajj in the African country.
According to IQNA’s Africa branch, various political, cultural and religious figures took part in the congress held in the capital Accra.
Grand Mufti of Ghana Noah Othman Sharbatu, Islamic leader Abdul Qader Taher, cultural attaché of Benin Muhammad Ghassem, education ministry official Ermia Shuaib and a group of Shia youths were among those taking part in the program.
Addressing the congress, Iran’s Cultural Attaché Reza Bakhshayesh stressed that in political sense, nothing is more important in Hajj than unity among Muslims.
He also said that Islam is the religion of mercy and the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is the prophet of mercy.
Ermia Shuaib also delivered a speech at the congress, saying that unity is one of the greatest desires of Muslims in the world.
He said by remaining united and upholding solidarity, Muslims can resolve their problems.
The university professor underlined that the most important message of Hajj is that of Islamic unity and that Hajj itself is a symbol of unity.
