Reform Movements in Muslim World to Be Discussed in Belgium
A seminar will be held in Belgium to discuss the reform movements in the Muslim world.
It is organized by the Fatwa Islamic Society in Brussels on Sunday, October 6, lemuslim website reported.
In the first part of the event, Hassan Amdouni and Abdul Hamid Tamthamani, both Islamic scholars and professors in Belgian universities, will discuss the ideas of Egyptian Faqih (jurisprudent), laywer and reformist Muhammad Abdoh.
They will clarify his role as a pioneering religious intellectual in the Muslim world and talk about Sayed Jamaleddin Assadabadi as a moajor Muslim social activist and thinker.
The second part of the seminar will be held later in October to investigate reform movements of the 21st century.
