Islam and Shia Studies in French Academic Societies to Be Investigated
A forum on “Islam and Shia Studies in French Academic Societies” will be organized today, October 29, at the Center for Comparative Studies of Contemporary Islam.
The program will begin at 1 p.m. local time at the center affiliated to the Supreme Council of Religions in Tehran with the participation of Yahya Bono, Shia French Islamologue.
The center has announced that it is one of its main activities to investigate approaches, objectives and methods of contemporary Islamic studies and how the West encounters Islam.
The forum will be organized in line with a series of sessions held by the center on contemporary studies of Islam.
A number of members of the scientific boards of universities, lecturers and intellectuals have been invited to attend the forum.
