The western city of Casablanca will host the event titled King Mohammed VI international Award for Recitation of the Holy Quran, Manara website reported.
It will be organized on Tarteel recitation, memorization, Tajweed and interpretation of the Holy Quran, according to an announcement by the North African country’s Awqaf and Islamic affairs ministry.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on December 23 at al-Hassan Mosque in Casablanca, the announcement said.
Quran memorizers from a number of Arab and Islamic countries are to compete in the international Quranic event.
