Registration Begins for Largest Quranic Contest in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Egypt’s ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs said registration for the country’s largest Quran competition starts today, December 14.

It said those willing to take part in the competition have until Thursday, December 18, to sign up for the event.
The contest will be held on Sunday and Monday, December 21-22, the ministry said in a statement.
There will be five categories, including memorization of the entire Quran along with Tajweed and Tarteel recitation, the statement said.
The maximum age for taking part in the national Quran contest is 25.
Those wining the top rank in the first two categories will represent Egypt in the country’s 21st international Quran competition.
