Dar-ol-Quran of Al-Azhar Mosque Opens
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s Al-Azhar Mosque opened a Dar-ol-Quran Center on December 21.
The center organizes free courses on Quran memorization, recitation and Tajweed.
According to Al-Youm Al-Sabi’ website, the programs of the center include Quran memorization along with Tajweed principles, Qiraat 'Ashr (the 10 styles of Quran recitation) and courses on enhancing Quran reciters’ skills in Sawt.
The courses are regularly held for Egyptian men and women as well as foreign students of Al-Azhar.
A number of Al-Azhar Quran reciters and scholars teach the Quranic courses.
There will also be Quran competitions for those who take the courses.
The top participants will receive awards and represent Al-Azhar in media programs on various occasions.
