Association of Islamic Calligraphy to Open in Istanbul

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Iranian and Turkish Islamic calligraphy experts discussed the opening of an association of Islamic calligraphy in a meeting held in Istanbul.


According to the public relations and information office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the meeting was organized with the aim of developing cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The participants also investigated methods of promoting cultural interactions among the youth in the Muslim world.

It was decided that an exhibition of artworks by eminent Turkish calligraphers be held at the Iranian cultural center in Turkey.

Introducing the Iranian culture and art to the Turkish society and development of interactions between Iranian and Turkish calligraphers were the main objectives of the  meeting.
