Quran Competition Planned in India
It will be organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in New Delhi.
The press conference of the program was held on January 2 where Ali Fuladi, Iranian cultural attaché in India answered questions about the upcoming event.
The conference was also attended by Maulana Nazir Ahmad Salami, a member of the Iranian Parliament and 30 journalists and reporters.
The Iranian official said that winners of the competition will be sent to Iran to participate in the country’s international Quran competitions.
He further elaborated on the concept of Islamic unity and noted that it means all Muslim schools of thought should take a common stance against the enemy of Islam.
Fuladi criticized those who pretend to be Shias and insult Sunni Muslims and those who insult Shia Muslims and introduce themselves as followers of Sunni school of thought, saying that they do not deserve to represent either school of thought.
Salami also addressed the press conference and highlighted the important role of media in promoting world awareness, introducing the true Islam and revealing the true face of its enemies.
