Nat’l Quran Competition Slated for March

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 37th edition of Iran’s national Quran Competition is planned to be held in early March, an Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization official said.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini, new head of the organization’s Quranic Affairs Center, told IQNA that the city of Tabriz, capital of the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan, will host this year’s contest.
He said various programs are planned to be held on the sidelines of the national contest, including several Quran recitation sessions.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini added that a Quranic exhibition is also scheduled to be mounted at the Tabriz Mosalla (prayers ground) to showcase Quranic achievements and products.
Workshops on Quran and Hadiths topics will also be held during the national Quran competition, he went on to say.
