Iran’s Nat’l Quran Competition to Kick off Wednesday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 37th edition of Iran’s National Quran Competition will start on Wednesday in the northwestern city of Tabriz.

Top Quran reciters and memorizers from across the country compete in the different categories of the Quranic event for six days.
A number of programs are planned to be held on the sidelines of the national Quran competition, including an exhibition of Quranic, religious and cultural products.
There will also be Quran recitation sessions in the host city and a number of nearby cities and towns with the participation of prominent Iranian and Egyptian Quran reciters.
A number of seminars including “Allameh Tabatabaei and Quran” and “Shahriar and Quran” will also be held in Tabriz during the Quranic event.
The competition’s closing ceremony will be held on March 2, at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayers hall) in Tabriz.
