Abbasi will represent the Islamic Republic in the recitation category of the contest and Ayazi will compete in the memorization of the entire Quran category.
The international Quranic event is slated to kick off in Kuwait on March 30, Fars news agency reported.
It will be attended by representatives from different Muslim countries.
Abbasi, who is from the northeastern city of Mashhad, came third in the 36th edition of Iran’s national Quran competition. He has also won the 4th rank in Malaysia’s International Holy Quran Award.
Ayazi is from the northern province of Mazandaran. Last year, he represented Iran in Tunisia’s international Quran competition.
