Quran Competition Concludes in Bahrain
TEHRAN (IQNA) - The final stage of the sixth edition of “Iqra’ and Irqa” Quran competition for Shia Muslims of Bahrain was held on May 7 to 9 in Manama, the capital.
According to althakroon.com, the Quranic event is organized under the supervision of “Al-Dhikr Al-Hakeem” Association of The Holy Quran’s Sciences in cooperation with the Association of Religious Education in Sar region of the city.
The participants competed in memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran at Husseyniyah (public hall for religious ceremonies) of Sar.
Muhammad Ja’far, member of the association said that “Imam Ali (AS)” Grand Mosque of the region hosted the preliminary stage of the competition on April 25 to 27.
23 contenders participated in recitation category and 72 competed in memorization category of the preliminary stage.
