The visit was part of the sideline programs for the contestants.
The 32nd edition of Iran’s International Quran Competition kicked off here in Tehran on Friday, May 15, in a ceremony attended by high-ranking officials, including Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Some 120 Quran reciters and memorizers from 75 countries will compete in the two categories of the contest for seven days.
The 9th International Conference of Qurnic Studies will also be held on the sidelines of the competition.
Researchers from 10 countries will present their latest works during the conference.
Participants and Quran enthusiasts will also get the chance to take part in 50 different workshops.
The annual International Quran Competition is held to encourage the public to read the Holy Quran and to follow its instructions.
Organized by Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, the 2015 edition of the event will run until May 21.
