“Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” Int’l Festival Begins in Karbala
The religious cultural festival has been organized by the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the second infallible Imam (AS).
The organizing committee of the festival announced that all media, TV channels and websites have been invited to the program.
Heidar Al-Salami, head of the information section of the Husseini Astan, said that the courtyard of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine hosts the programs of the festival for three days.
Quran reading sessions, forums to investigate academic and seminary researches, poetry reading sessions, and religious singings are among the programs of the international event.
Participants in the festival will be acquainted with different projects being implemented by the two Astans in Karbala.
A book exhibition will also be held on the sideline of the festival in cooperation with publications institutes from Iraq and other countries.
