TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Hayrat Humanitarian Aid Association said they will distribute 1 million copies of the Quran in various African countries.

Hayrat Humanitarian Aid Association President Hakkı Akgün said in his speech during a ceremony in Sudan that 50,000 copies of the Quran that were published in Turkey arrived in Sudan, and a part of them were distributed in other African countries.

He stressed that the remaining copies of the Quran will be distributed within three years.

Stating that their support is not restricted to humanitarian aid, Akgül added: "We are trying to carry the torch of Islamic culture and civilization."
