Iran to Participate in Sudan Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran will take part in the international Quran competition in Sudan.

Ali Assadi Seyfar will represent Islamic Republic of Iran in the international Quranic event.

The Quran contest is slated to be held in the African country’s capital of Khartoum in December.

Representatives of different Muslim and non-Muslim countries will attend the event to compete on memorization of the entire Quran. 

Seyfar, who is a memorizer of the entire Quran, came second in the 36th national Quran competition for children and teenagers last year, Fars reported.

Sudan is an Arab country in the Nile Valley of North Africa. More than 97 percent of the country’s population adhere to Islam.
