European Quran Contest Held in Croatia
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 7th edition of Europe’s Quran competition was held in the Croatian capital of Zagreb on Friday and Saturday, October 23-24.
82 Quran reciters and memorizers from 22 European countries attended the contest, which was opened with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by prominent Iranian Qari Ahmad Abolqassemi.
The grand mosque of Zagreb hosted the two-day Quranic event.
Quran experts from Iran, Turkey, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar formed the competition’s panel of judges.
