Kermanshah to Host Iran’s Nat’l Quran Contest Next Month

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The western Iranian city of Kermanshah will host the country’s 38th national Quran competition in December.

The final stage of this edition will kick off in a ceremony on December 19.


The week-long contest will be held in two sections for men and women.


Contenders will compete in different categories including recitation, Tarteel, and memorization of the Holy Quran.


There will be a few changes applied to the competition compared to the previous years.


The changes will be in the categories, scoring, judgment and selection of the best contestants.


The competition’s awarding ceremony is scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 26.
