Iran, Oman Armies’ Friendship Quran Competition Slated for May
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 7th Quran contest of the armies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman will be held in May.
The director of the Iranian Defense Ministry’s Dar-ol-Quran Center told IQNA that the Ideo-political Organization of Iran’s Police Force will host the event.
Majid Golshadi said there have been a number of meetings on organization of the contest and selecting Iran’s representatives in the competition.
He went on to say that the 7th Quran contest of the armies of Iran and Oman will be held in the categories of memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 20, 10, and 5 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
Top Quran memorizers of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Ministry of Defense and the Police Force will represent Iran in the contest.
