Al-Dhikr ul-Hakim Quran Contest Planned in Bahrain
According to Qaf news agency, the motto of this edition of the Quranic event is "Do not follow the footsteps of Satan” (Quran, 24:21).
Registration for the contest has begun and will continue until February 4.
It will be separately held for men and women, in the categories of Quran recitation, memorization, interpretation, contemplating the Quran, Quranic culture and short films.
A special category has been added to this year’s competition for the hearing-impaired. It features memorization of Surah al-Hashr (59).
According to the organizers, participants can compete in more than one category of the competition.
The Al-Dhikr ul-Hakim Quranic Sciences Association of Bahrain holds the event annually.
Bahrain is a tiny island country in the Persian Gulf. The majority of people in Bahrain are Shia Muslims.
